I was born and lived in the same community where Edith Cassidy was born and lived. I ate many watermelons from Hope Arkansas. I just ate a Hope watermelon a month ago when I visited back there as every year. A postcard showing a black person polishing a watermelon was a very happy moment in that time. Do not judge then by today's standards.
